Despite a busy professional schedule, Charlie regularly volunteered to participate in community service organizations and served on several public Boards and Commissioner positions.
As a Commissioner of the Brunswick Recreation Department, he chaired and was instrumental in developing and directly participating in the startup of youth and adult recreational programs in Brunswick, Maine that included hockey, soccer, golf, and the development of public access to maritime waters.
As a Recreation Department Commissioner, Charlie was a youth sports coach and program developer where he played key roles in developing Youth Coaching Standards and Training programs, developing practice fields, and constructing of Brunswick’s first and only outdoor public hockey arena.
He is also one of the few Lifetime Members of Maine’s Coastal Conservation Commission and served extended terms on its Board of Directors.
On a personal basis, Charlie has been married for many years and has always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Resource Systems Engineering (RSE) company was founded by Charles F. Wallace, Jr., who has more than 45 years of professional experience in the environmental engineering field.
Charlie has a Bachelor of Science with a major in Engineering Physics, a minor in Electronics, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maine at Orono.
He is a Professional Engineer fully Licensed to Practice in four states – three currently active. His specialties in Management and successful completion of State of the Art of Military Electronics including advanced deployment of US Navy Poseidon Nuclear Missile Submarines.
Charlie is a recognized Engineering Expert qualified to testify before State and US Courts. He is also recognized as having pioneered field studies of Wind Turbine Noise Impacts in mountainous terrain and presented a seminar paper at an International Symposium on Noise Impact analyses.
In 1976 Charlie developed his own corporations to provide services across the United States and Canada. He also developed several sole proprietorships in the areas of real estate investment and management, land use management, landscape development and construction, commercial forest management, and forest product harvesting. Charlie’s successes were a direct result of his “hands-on” active, refined, and detailed scientific approach to all projects.
